No quarto dela / In her bedroom

A minha filha queixa-se de que tem um quarto pequeno, mas quer muito dividi-lo com uma irmã. Uma irmã que devia nascer e crescer logo muito depressa, para brincar com ela. De preferência, uma irmã que ficasse de repente mais velha do que ela. Como não tem irmã nenhuma, nem no quarto nem no horizonte da família, vai fazendo sozinha de mamã a 11 bonecas tipo Nenuco. Há que admitir que um bocadinho de ajuda dava jeito.

Mas também gosta dos bonecos que a mãe faz. E da ursa, que foi a primeira, e não saiu lá muito certinha.

E eu adoro comprar-lhe sapatos de verão, no número (ainda) pequeno que ela usa, todos às cores e tão diferentes dos meus.

My daughter keeps complaining about how small her bedroom is, but really wants to share it with a sister. A sister that should be born and immediately grow up very fast, so she could play with her. Ideally, that sister would even grow magically to be older than her. Since she doesn’t have one, and she won't likely have one in the near future, she plays mama to 11 baby dolls by herself. One has to admit she could use some help.

But she also likes her mother’s toys, like Laura the doll or that nameless bear, the first softie I made, and that didn’t turn out very well.

As to me, I love to buy her summer shoes, in her (yet) small size, all so colorful and so different from mine.
